Shop / abro black rtv silicone sealant
Dynatex industrial grade silicone sealant is a paste-like, one-component material that cures to a tough, rubbery solid upon exposure to moisture in the air. This sealant can be applied overhead or on sidewall joints and surfaces without sagging, slumping, or running off, as it does not flow due to its own weight. It can be applied in sub-zero weather without losing its extrusion or physical property characteristics.
Fully cured Dynatex industrial grade silicone sealant can be used for extended periods at temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and for shorter periods as high as 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Tests have shown that even after two months at 450 degrees Fahrenheit or up to one week at 500 degrees Fahrenheit, the sealant remains rubbery.
Applications for this sealant include adhering auto and appliance trim (including metal, fabric, and fabric-backed plastics), bonding gaskets in heating and refrigeration units, attaching screwless brackets or nameplates and tacking plastic materials to metal, sealing windows in oven doors and flues on gas appliances, flanged pipe joints, and access doors, providing forming-in-place gaskets for gear boxes, compressors, and pumps, sealing trailers and truck cabs, bonding and sealing appliance parts, bonding signs and sign letters, creating anti-abrasion coatings, and sealing marine cabins and windows.
This sealant meets the FDA/USDA requirements for use in establishments operating under the Federal Meat and Poultry Inspection Program, and when cured and washed, the ingredients remaining or which could migrate to food are listed on FDA Regulation No. 21 CFR 177.2600. It also meets Federal Specifications TT-S-00230C, ASTM C-920, and NSF Standard 51.
Some key physical properties of Dynatex industrial grade silicone sealant include a specific gravity of 1.02 at 77 degrees Fahrenheit, an extrusion rate (1/8" orifice, 90 psi) of 400 grams per minute, a flow rate (sag or slump on 1/8" x 4" bead) of nil, a tack-free time of 10-20 minutes at 77 degrees Fahrenheit and 50% relative humidity, and a cure time of 24 hours at 77 degrees Fahrenheit and 50% relative humidity.
This sealant has several key benefits, including the ability to bond and seal, provide thermal and electrical insulation, form a waterproof and weatherproof seal, and adhere to a wide range of materials, including clean metal, glass, most types of wood, silicone resin, synthetic fiber, and painted surfaces. It also has good resistance to weathering, vibration, moisture, ozone, and extreme temperatures.
