Avoid stretching the tape to prevent lifting or breaking. 3. Secure Tape: Firmly press the tape down with a smooth edge, such as a putty knife or credit card. 4. Let Tape Set: Wait approximately 30 to 60 minutes before beginning painting. 5. Wait: Allow the paint to fully dry to the touch before removing the tape. 6. Score: Use a putty knife or razor blade to score along the tape's edge, preventing paint from being pulled up or cracking along the paint line. 7. Tape Removal: Carefully lift the tape, pulling it back on itself at a 45-degree angle. If adhesive remains, try a 90-degree angle. 8. Clean Finish: Achieve a sharp, clean paint line and a professional-looking result.
